Check Case Status
1. Immigrant and Nonimmigrant Cases

A. Service Center Filings - For petitions and applications filed at one of the five USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) Service Centers, you will need your receipt number. The receipt number typically begins with EAC (Vermont Service Center), LIN (Nebraska Service Center), WAC (California Service Center), SRC (Texas Service Center) or MSC (Missouri Service Center).

If you have this number, click here to visit the USCIS case status login section, and follow the instructions. If you do not have this number, please contact us for assistance.

To track and receive an email update on your case status, or a group of cases, please click here and complete the requisite USCIS form(s) as directed.

B. Current Processing Times at USCIS Service Centers - To estimate the processing time of your case, please refer to the links below.

**PREMIUM PROCESSING CASES - For premium process filings, the processing times will not be indicated at any of the links above. US law requires that the premium units adjudicate cases and take action on the same within 15 days of a receipt number being issued on a case. This does not mean that a case has to be approved within 15 days, but merely adjudicated. For example, an Officer's action may be to request evidence on a case within the 15 day period. That request for evidence, satisfies "taking action on a case," within the 15 day time period. After a response to the Officer's request for evidence has been received by US CIS, the Officer again will be required to take action within a 15 day time period, which will begin to run from the date the evidence has been logged as received. At this point, an Officer will usually approve or deny a case. In rare occasions, he/she may request additional evidence, which again, will be handled as specified above.

C. District/Local Office Filings - If your case was filed at a USCIS District/Local Office, and not at any of the service centers listed above, please select the appropriate option below to determine the current processing time of your case.

If your receipt number begins MSC, please click here to determine the current processing time.

If your receipt number does not begin with MSC, you may determine the current processing time by clicking here and selecting the appropriate office location from the District Office list.

If your case was filed at a district office, and you do not have information to determine the current processing time, please click here, and an M&S representative will contact you via email.

D. To determine the status of your case, please have your receipt number available which will begin with NVC, and call +1(603)334-0700, and follow instructions accordingly.
