Update on H-1B Usage

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has updated its statistics on H-1B numbers for Fiscal Year (FY) 2007. As of May 12, 34,808 cases had been approved or were in the adjudications pipeline against the 58,200 standard H-1B cap. The agency had also approved or was adjudicating 4,638 cases against the pool of 20,000 H-1B numbers for foreign nationals with advanced degrees from U.S. universities.
