DREAM ACT INTRODUCED TO ASSIST CHILDREN OF UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS

On November 18, 2005, Senators Durbin of Illinois, Lugar of Indiana, and Hagel of Nebraska introduced the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act (S. 2075). This bill seeks to allow children of undocumented immigrants who have graduated from high school, and not committed any crime, to enlist in the military and/or attend college, and earn permanent resident status in the United States.

It is quite a long process for a bill, if it survives, to become a law, and we will update you on this matter as it evolves.
