H-1B & (US Master's Degree or Above) H-2B Cap Usage

FY 2006 Advanced Degree Exemption: As of November 14, approximately 16,100 cases have been counted against the 20,000 cap exemption for FY 2006. About 12,700 have been approved and 3,500 are pending.

FY 2006 H-2B Numbers: As of November 21, 2005, 35,568 cases have been counted against the 33,000 total cap for the first half of the year. 27,937 have been approved and 7,631 are pending. No cases have been counted against the 33,000 cap for the second half of FY 2006 as of yet.
