H-2B Measure Provides Exemption to the Numerical Cap

The Save our Small Businesses Act of 2005 will exempt from the 66,000 annual cap those workers who have previously held H-2B status for any one of the past 3 years, for applicants who are applying for work with the same employer during FY2005 or FY2006.

The Act also alots 33,000 visas during the first half of the fiscal year, and the residual 33,000 during the final half of the fiscal year.
